We were talking about the new Infiniti Essence GT concept car fresh from its Geneva motor show debut – and Nakamura san was talking us around his latest creation. Once in a while, in between the Fast and Furious movies, we pine for some real old-school car chases on film--whether they involve police, murderers or other race-car drivers. Le Mans comes to mind, along with Bullitt, or anything by John Frankenheimer. And if a car-centric movie wins a few indie awards, that's all the better.
The Umeå Institute of Design at Umeå University Sweden attracts young design students from all over the world to its two-year Master of Arts degree program in Transportation Design, the first of its kind in the Nordic countries. This year's MA program, for which the Institute is anticipating another talented pool of applicants, is open for registration until the 15th of April. The body of students currently enrolled in the MA Transportation Design program is truly international, with representatives from Brazil, Canada, China, Finland, Ireland, Spain, South Korea, the United Kingdom and Sweden.
